For the German government, green hydrogen is a beacon of hope on the road to climate neutrality. With the new website www.nationale-wasserstoffstrategie.de, information on hydrogen technology is now being made available across all government departments for the first time. In this context, the “Hydrogen Pilot Office” has also been set up to provide information on federal funding opportunities for hydrogen projects and to address companies, research institutions and other market participants. This is intended to support the establishment of the technology. When presenting the National Hydrogen Strategy 2020, the German government at the time already assumed that it would be necessary to establish strong and reliable partnerships with third countries if the project was to succeed. Accordingly, the website also offers information on funding opportunities at the international level.
