Large quantities of critical raw materials such as indium, lithium and tungsten are stored in the Ore Mountains in Saxony. The deposits are to be developed using new technologies.
From 2022, foreign companies will no longer be allowed to invest in China's rare earth sector.
In the medium and long term, the supply of many critical raw materials in Germany could be at risk. This is the result of a study commissioned by the Bavarian Business Association (vbw).
