Largest annual event on the promising energy carrier green hydrogen.

The third European Hydrogen Week started in Brussels on Monday. According to the organizers, the largest annual event on the topic of hydrogen brings together industry, politics, science and the public. It is co-organized by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership to promote research and innovation in clean hydrogen technologies in Europe.

Until Friday, October 28, the Brussels Expo exhibition center will be all about the promising energy carrier, from feedstocks and supply chains to production, storage, distribution and applications in areas such as zero-emission transportation and clean energy generation. A livestream of the event is available on YouTube.

“Hydrogen is about to change the geopolitics of energy”, Frans Timmermanns, EU Commission vice president and commissioner for climate action, said yesterday at Hydrogen Week. H2 has a key role to play in Europe’s energy transition and in moving away from fossil Russian fuels, he pointed out. To make green hydrogen competitive as quickly as possible, the EU Commission is working on new legislation, among other things to accelerate investments in renewable energy. Timmermanns also spoke in favor of hydrogen partnerships in Africa and the Middle East.
