Rare Earths Exports Down Slightly in June

Exports of rare earths from China declined last month, Reuters reported, citing data from the Customs Administration. While 4,863 tons of the strategic raw materials were exported in May, the figure for June was 4,265 tons, it said. Compared to the same month last year, however, there was an increase of 253 tons.

Overall, the country was able to significantly increase its export of goods in June compared to the previous month, Bloomberg writes . One reason for this was the end of the lockdown at the important port of Shanghai. There were also fewer corona-related interruptions in production.
