Rare Earths: Chinese Exports Rise Again

After strong demand on the domestic market led to a decline in rare exports from China in September, they rose by nine percent in October compared to the previous month. The increase is even stronger compared to October 2022, when 19% was reported, according to Reuters.

China generally reported a year-on-year decline in goods exports of over six percent in October, while imports rose to the surprise of analysts, according to Reuters. This differentiated development suggests that the second-largest economy is still facing challenges.
