A few days before the anniversary of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the European Union has presented its tenth sanctions package. This will affect, among other things, the export of electronic components that can be used for military purposes (dual-use goods). These include certain rare earth components, integrated circuits and cameras, according to the Financial Times (paywall). The EU is also proposing a ban on the transit of goods through Russia to reduce the risk of circumventing the sanctions, according to Bloomberg (paywall).
EU states will now discuss the proposed measures before they can be adopted.
